MoU Between Aidbox by Health Samurai and Health Informatics Lab, Kathmandu University

Kathmandu University’s Health Informatics Lab (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and Health Samurai, creators of the Aidbox FHIR platform, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance academic and technical collaboration in health informatics and digital health standards.

Key Objectives of the MoU:

  • Joint Research & Academic Collaboration: Focus on FHIR-based projects, thesis supervision, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

  • Skilled Workforce Development: Integrate Aidbox tools into student training, workshops, and coursework.

  • Technical Mentorship: Provide support for FHIR-related student and faculty projects.

  • Platform Access: Enable use of Aidbox’s infrastructure for education and research.

  • Capacity Building: Organize webinars, lectures, and hackathons led by the Aidbox team.

This partnership strengthens KU’s role in fostering FHIR expertise, promoting health data interoperability, and supporting innovation in digital healthcare solutions.
