Kathmandu University’s Health Informatics Lab (Department of Computer Science and Engineering) and Health Samurai, creators of the Aidbox FHIR platform, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance academic and technical collaboration in health informatics and digital health standards.
Key Objectives of the MoU:

Joint Research & Academic Collaboration: Focus on FHIR-based projects, thesis supervision, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Skilled Workforce Development: Integrate Aidbox tools into student training, workshops, and coursework.

Technical Mentorship: Provide support for FHIR-related student and faculty projects.

Platform Access: Enable use of Aidbox’s infrastructure for education and research.

Capacity Building: Organize webinars, lectures, and hackathons led by the Aidbox team.
This partnership strengthens KU’s role in fostering FHIR expertise, promoting health data interoperability, and supporting innovation in digital healthcare solutions.
